Yeah, I did makeup inspired by a sweater… what of it?  ;-P

I don’t always make a post here when I take my weekly self-portrait, but I assure you I have been keeping up with my Light & Sugar project!  Light & Sugar on Tumblr has the entire portfolio of portraits.  I just like to give you guys a few extra details here on this blog if you care to look.

I used eyeshadows for all of this design!  Kind of ridiculous considering I probably could’ve achieved the same thing with some greasepaint from the Halloween superstore or something… but anyway, I used what I had!

I’d like to thank the makers of Neutrogena makeup removing cloths and the Clarisonic skincare brush, without whom I would probably never be able to get all this crap off my face from week to week.

For once I actually had an idea in my head when I started my makeup today

My parents’ lemon tree is FULL of ripe lemons, and that was the inspiration for the look.

I used Sugarpill Tako and Buttercupcake, Makeup Forever lashes, and Sephora liquid eyeliner.

I figured I’d give you guys a legit Christmas related post. 

Apparently I have quite a few different green eyeshadows!

I used Urban Decay, Kat Von D, and Sugarpill eyeshadows.  I also just got some false lashes from Sephora to add a little more drama to my looks.

Remember last week when I said I was considering doing a look for “Pokemon Picture December”?  Well, there are still a few weeks of December left so I decided to go for it!!!  I had a couple other ideas for Pokemon that I could do, but I settled on Jigglypuff because my pink hair sort of works perfectly for it.

I didn’t take photos for a step-by-step tutorial or anything, because I know there are tons of “anime eyes” tutorials out there already.  The basic idea is to draw the shape of a giant eye on your closed eyelids with liquid eyeliner, and then fill it in with white and some color.  Most tutorials add false lashes to the eyebrow and underneath the eye to make it look more realistic…but I don’t have any false lashes and well, Jigglypuff doesn’t either!

I was lucky enough to already have a pink hat, so I just had to buy some felt at Michael’s for like $2 and make some ears to pin on it.  Also there is a random Karaoke machine at our house that never gets used, so it was a convenient source for the microphone.

I am so in love with the outcome!  I think it is my favorite out of all the photos I have done for this project so far.  It was so fun drawing the anime eyes and making the little ears.
